President’s Message
Dear Carriage House Members,
Thank you to all of those members who participated in our 23nd Annual Meeting either
in person or by proxy. We had another successful meeting and both Mike Lincoln and
myself thank you for reelecting us to serve another three year term. We welcome
owner James Borucki from California who received the next highest number of votes.
He will act as an alternate if one of our Directors finds themselves unable to serve.
Despite the current economic situation, we continue to make improvements to our property. Our most recent project is the ground floor renovation. The entire lobby has been remodeled with the addition of beautiful tile, stone and granite. A fitness room
with state of the art equipment, a complimentary business center and a new mini mart
have all been built. Moving forward this year, we intend to remodel the two passenger
elevators and install new carpet and wall coverings in the hallways. We also plan to
upgrade some of the guest rooms. As always, we will be cautious with our spending.
While construction in Las Vegas has slowed down, it continues in our neighborhood.
The Harmon corridor is busy with the construction of the Planet Hollywood/Westgate
timeshare building, the two Marriott timeshare towers in front of the Carriage House
and the massive City Center at the end of Harmon and Las Vegas Boulevard. There is
something new to see every time I visit.
Enclosed with the newsletter are the Annual Meeting Minutes and excerpts from the
Annual Audit. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact General Manager,
Amy Lowell. On behalf of your Directors, Management Team and OLS, thank you for
your continued support of our beautiful property. I look forward to serving another year
as your President and ask you to contact me with any comments or suggestions.
Sincerely,
John Blevins
President
